The Department of Health Policy and Management educates and researches the theory and techniques of administrative management regarding healthcare and medical policies, organization, businesses, and consumers in order to effectively achieve the goal of maintaining and enhancing the health of the people. The twenty-first century will see higher demands for healthcare and welfare services to increase the quality of life for the people. In particular, the changing healthcare landscape caused by national health medical insurance system and open medical care market will require future-oriented healthcare administrators who can apply basic social sciences and administrative sciences to the field. The Department of Health Policy and Management was created in order to fulfill such future social demands.
