School of Biomedical Engineering was founded in 1988, and about 1,500 students have been graduated since then. With more than 25 years of tradition, the department has a strong man-power networks in industry.
Transformed from Department to School in 2015 to provide a more advanced and professional curriculum, in which two majors (biomedical material and mechanics, biomedical electronics) are offered to students who finished the common courses of the division during their first two years.
In biomedical material and mechanics major, students learn structural engineering, material mechanics, physiological dynamics, and biomedical materials, while in biomedical electronics major learn clinical medical engineering, physiological measurement, programming language, biomedical ultrasound, and radiology.
The aim of School of Biomedical Engineering is to conduct interdisciplinary researches integrating medicine with engineering to train qualified experts.
