620 International Students Complete Winter Term at Inje Korean Language and Culture Center

February 18, 2025113

On the 14th, Inje University’s Korean Language and Culture Center held a completion ceremony at the Jang Yeong-sil Hall Auditorium to mark the successful end of the winter term. A total of 620 international language students from 35 classes across 30 countries attended the event, celebrating their achievements.

Over the 10-week winter term, students enhanced their Korean language proficiency through a structured curriculum and demonstrated their fluency at the Korean Speech Contest for International Students held in January. Additionally, they immersed themselves in Korean culture through activities such as traditional paper crafts, a barbecue party, and Taekwondo training, deepening their understanding of Korean society.

During the ceremony, students watched a video compilation of their Taekwondo experiences, reliving memorable moments of cultural engagement. A special highlight was the "Bit Magazine," a newsletter created by the University Preparation Level 2 class. The newsletter received an enthusiastic response as it featured study tips, popular majors, and student experiences such as a visit to Everland, a travel guide to Busan, and an exploration of Myanmar cuisine—offering both useful insights and entertaining content.

Reflecting on their journey, graduating students shared, “At first, learning Korean felt difficult, but now it has become enjoyable. Thanks to Inje University’s outstanding Korean language program and dedicated professors, we were able to learn a lot and truly enjoy life in Korea.”

With the spring semester set to begin on March 4, the Korean Language and Culture Education Center remains committed to providing high-quality education and diverse cultural programs, helping international students further enhance their Korean proficiency while experiencing the richness of Korean culture.
