In the rapidly changing contemporary world, the role of the family, which was the basic building block of a society, is declining, and the consumer as the agent of consumption is faced with many issues in the market economy. The department provides education and research to resolve and prevent such problems that families and consumers are faced with. The department seeks to identify the environments close to families and consumers to acquire related knowledge and apply it to the field to contribute to the development of family welfare as well as local and national economies.
